A lone man sits in his cell, regretting what he'd done A lonesome little boy sits at a window, ignoring all around him A little girl walks down the sidewalk, a father on her right mother on her left A black man sits in court, awaiting judgement A man watches the sky, while his life slips away A mother weeps at night, mourning her babe's death A teenager robs a store, graving it's riches A bystander stares, making a decision A woman slits her wrists, trying to deal with all the cruelty in the world An idol facing criticism staying strong, faces it head on So much sadness, just as much happiness So many people, judging each other

She bleeds, not for herself, but for those  around her, who suffer from emotional wounds. She bleeds, because she can't understand. She can't understand, the pain and emotional drain  of carriyng the world on her shoulders. She bleeds, pleading them to listen, to understand. To understand that she wants to connect, that she wants to help. She bleeds, so they will realize. So they will realize they're not alone. So they will realize they are surrounded by people who care,  people who love them.                               &#16
